SALAMI, OLIVE AND HOT HONEY PIZZA

INGREDIENTS:

Dough: 

I used the recipe in the @cuisinart_au Pizzeria Pro Indoor Pizza oven recipe book, Neapolitan Style Pizza dough (recipe p9).

Sauce:

I used the traditional sauce found on page 19 of the recipe book.

Toppings:

  • salami
  • pepperoni
  • black Kalamata olives
  • fior di latte cheese
  • fine grated parmesan

METHOD:

Hot honey:

  1. In a jar add 300g of your favourite honey, or 3/4 fill the jar. 
  2. In a food processor blitz 4 red chillis, 1 ancho chilli, and 1 chipotle chilli, along with a teaspoon of red chilli flakes. 
  3. Once blitzed, add the chilli mix to the honey and set aside for a few hours with the lid on. 
  4.  Keep flipping the jar to help the chillis mix in as they will float to the top to start.

To build the Pizza:

  1. Preheat your @cuisinart_au Pizzeria Pro Indoor Pizza oven to 380 degrees (this will take 20-30 minutes).
  2. Stretch your dough to make a 30cm round pizza.
  3. Add your tomato sauce, a generous covering of parmesan, salami, followed by the fior di latte (rip it up by hand) and then top with the pepperoni and olives. 
  4. Cook in the oven at 380 degrees for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. 
  5. Once removed drizzle as much of the hot honey as you can handle. 
  6. Slice and enjoy!
