STEAMED TIGER PRAWNS & VEGETABLE SALAD

STEAMED TIGER PRAWNS & VEGETABLE SALAD

INGREDIENTS

  • 400-gram fresh tiger prawns
  • 3  Large carrots, julienne cut
  • 100-gram green beans
  • 50-gram peas
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (such as parsley, coriander, or tarragon)
  • Salt and paper to taste

METHOD

Preparation

  1. Clean and remove the prawn heads, shells and devein. Then wash them and pat dry with kitchen towels.
  2. Cut carrots into julienne with 5–7-centimetre length
  3. Dice green beans into 4-centimetre length.

For steaming 

  • Turn on the Cuisinart Steamer on manual mode and set the timer for 15 minutes.
  • Place the veggies in the steamer tray  and arrange prawns on top of the veggies.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Put the lid and steam for 15 minutes.
  • Transfer the prawns and veggies to a serving plate.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
  • Add your choice of fresh herbs (Parsley, coriander, or tarragon).
