INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 egg yokes
- 1/2 cup of crushed chocolate cookies
METHOD
- In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, cream and half the sugar
- Combine the egg yokes and remaining sugar and beat until pale and thick
- Add the milk mixture to the eggs slowly stirring constantly.
- Return to low heat and stir until mixture thickens but do not boil.
- cover and refrigerate
- Add to the Cuisinart Ice cream and gelato maker for 40 mins. Just before it finishes, add in the crushed chocolate biscuits through the mix in opening
- Eat immediately or freeze for a firmer ice cream. Enjoy!
