
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5kg beef brisket
RUB
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¾ tsp mustard powder
BBQ SAUCE
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 11/2 cups ketchup
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 garlic cloves minced
METHOD
- Mix rub ingredients together and rub over the brisket
- Mix BBQ sauce ingredients together and add to the Meal Maker
- Add the brisket to the Meal Maker and set to slow cook on low for 8 hours (for 1.5kg)
- Once brisket is cooked, remove from the Meal Maker and place on a tray. With the remaining liquid in the slow cooker, pour into a saucepan and reduce by simmering over a medium / high heat for 5 minutes or until a syrup consistency is reached.
- Using 2 forks, shred the beef and return in the slow cooker with the sauce for serving.
- Yummy served on tortillas with apple slaw!
