Ingredients
- 8 slices white bread
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. On a large baking sheet, put the bread slices in a single layer.
- Bake until the bread is completely dry, about 20 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Insert the universal blade into the work bowl of the Cuisinart® 7-Cup Food Processor. Break toasted bread into medium-size pieces and add to work bowl.
- Pulse 6 to 8 times, then process until the desired texture is achieved, 30 to 60 seconds. (Note: Breadcrumbs can also be made from unbaked day-old bread. Simply break into pieces and follow the instructions above until finely chopped).
Season Breadcrumbs:
- Add ¼ teaspoon each kosher salt, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, and onion powder to work bowl with bread pieces and process as above.
