INGREDIENTS
- 12 fresh dates, pitted
- 40g raw almonds
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil, melted
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- 2 tablespoons desiccated coconut, toasted
- Pinch salt
METHOD
- Place coconut into a shallow bowl and reserve.
- Insert the universal blade into the work bowl of the Cuisinart Food Processor. Add the dates, almonds, maple syrup, oil, cacao and salt into the work bowl. Process for 3 minutes in 30 second segments or until the nuts are finely chopped and the mixture comes together.
- Remove blade and take 2 teaspoons of mixture and roll into balls on a clean smooth board.
- Finish by rolling in the coconut. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
